Our Story

Capital City Recycling was founded in 2010 to better serve the growing Sacramento region.  From the very beginning, we knew that we could create a better recycling experience for our customers.  As you may already know, public recycling centers have not always had the best reputations and have not made the best impressions on customers.  We have all heard stories of or personally experienced recycling centers that were filthy, inefficient, unsafe, and provided terrible customer service.  Unfortunately, these types of facilities are the norm in our industry.

When we started Capital City Recycling, our team envisioned a different kind of recycling experience where the employees were friendly, the process was efficient, and the facility was clean and organized.  Since 2010, we have been focused on providing this type of experience to our customers.  As you can imagine, this is not an easy goal to achieve in our industry and I know that we do not always meet our lofty goals.  But, I can sincerely say that each day, our team works together to achieve our goal of having the cleanest, friendliest, and fastest recycling center in our area. 

To date, we have made significant progress towards fulfilling our original vision for  Capital City Recycling.  We know, however, that there is still a lot of work to do and that we can still improve significantly from where we are today.  You have our commitment that we will do all that we can to meet your high expectations.  THANK YOU to the tens of thousands of customers that we had the honor of serving.  We look forward to continuing to earn your business and respect.
